What I Do

Content Creation: I produce high-quality content, photographs, and footage on topics like urban and rural resilience, climate change, sustainable development, agriculture, conservation, science, technology, and freshwater issues.

Research and Interviews:I conduct extensive research and interviews for in-depth features, blogs, success stories, website and social media content, opinion pieces, and press releases. My work spans international media, non-profits, development organizations, research institutions, international funders, government representatives, and corporate clients.

Media Engagement: I identify opportunities to extend content reach and engage with media representatives to promote knowledge sharing.

Training: I help scientists and technical experts use storytelling tools to communicate their research and project results to broader and targeted audiences.

Notable projects:

WRC 50th Anniversary Book (2021): Researched and wrote a commemorative book featuring long-form profiles of celebrated researchers in the South African water sector, including all photography.

SANParks newspaper (2012 - 2016): Launched and managed a quarterly newspaper for South African National Parks, the largest conservation organization in South Africa.

Water Platform: Created an online platform (ww.50liters.com) to share lessons learned between drought-impacted urban areas.

"Working towards Water Resilient Cities in South Africa" (2019): Authored a book detailing how urban areas and settlements can help address the country's water crisis.

WRC 40th Anniversary Book (2011): Researched and wrote "WRC - 40 Years of Excellence," summarizing four decades of water research in South Africa.

Extensive travel and content sourcing: Traveled extensively to diverse and remote destinations to source and capture content and photographs for various publications and media channels.
